Stuffed Crust Cheeseburger Pizza

Okay, this one is next-level good. If you love pizza and you love burgers, just wait until you put them together with a cheesy stuffed crust! This Stuffed Crust Cheeseburger Pizza is crispy, cheesy, meaty, and packed with flavor in every bite. And guess what? It’s super easy to make with store-bought dough and just a few burger basics. I make this on lazy nights when I want something fun but don’t feel like getting takeout.

Method

Cook the Burgers

Start by heating a frying pan over medium heat. Once it’s hot, place the two beef burgers in the pan. As they cook, use your spoon to break them apart into smaller chunks. Keep stirring and breaking them up until all the meat turns from red to brown this means it’s fully cooked. You want the pieces to be nice and crumbled, like ground beef. When there’s no more pink, sprinkle in the onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix everything well so the seasoning coats the meat evenly. Once it’s nicely browned and seasoned, remove the pan from the heat and set it aside. This will be your flavorful topping.

Shape the Dough and Stuff the Crust

Unroll your pre-rolled pizza dough onto a clean surface or directly onto a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Gently shape it into a circle using your hands, making sure it’s even all the way around. Next, take the small cubes of cheddar cheese and place them in a ring around the edge of the dough this is how we create that delicious stuffed crust! Once the cheese is in place, carefully fold the edge of the dough over the cheese, pressing it down to seal the crust. You can use a pastry brush to help press and smooth it if needed. Make sure it’s sealed all the way around so the cheese doesn’t leak while baking.

Add the Toppings

Now it’s time to build your pizza! Spread the pizza sauce over the middle of the dough using the back of a spoon, stopping just before the crust. Next, add the cooked and seasoned burger pieces evenly across the sauce. Sprinkle the grated mozzarella cheese over the top, then add any remaining cheddar cheese cubes. Try to spread the toppings out so every bite gets a bit of everything sauce, meat, and cheese!

Bake the Pizza

Preheat your oven to 190°C if you’re using a fan-assisted oven (or adjust based on your oven type). Once it’s ready, place your pizza on the middle rack and bake for 12 to 15 minutes. Keep an eye on it near the end the crust should be golden brown and slightly crispy, and the cheese should be bubbling and melted. That’s how you know it’s ready!

Finish with Toppings

Once the pizza is out of the oven, give it a minute to cool slightly. Then, add your sliced gherkins right on top. These give the pizza that classic cheeseburger tang! Finally, drizzle the burger sauce across the top either in a zigzag or little dollops. You can use a spoon or squeeze bottle for this part. Now it’s ready to slice and enjoy!

  • 60g grated mozzarella cheese

  • 60g cheddar cheese (cut into small cubes)

  • 3 small gherkins, sliced

  • 30 ml burger sauce

  • Shape the dough. Roll out your pizza dough into a big circle. Around the edge, place cheddar cheese cubes. Fold the edge of the dough over the cheese and press to seal hello stuffed crust!
  • Add toppings. Spread the pizza sauce on the dough. Add your cooked burger meat, sprinkle the mozzarella cheese, and then toss on the leftover cheddar cubes.
  • Bake it. Preheat your oven to 190°C (fan-assisted). Bake the pizza for 12–15 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbling.
  • Top it off  Add the sliced gherkins right on top. Finish with drizzles of burger sauce. Done!

Notes

  • Make sure the meat is fully cooked before adding to the pizza. No pink bits!
  • Press the crust edges tightly so the cheese doesn’t leak out while baking.
  • Don’t overload the pizza with toppings, or the crust might get soggy in the middle.
  • Let the pizza sit for 2–3 minutes after baking. This helps everything set and not slide around when you cut it.

Serving Suggestions

  • Side of fries. Go full burger mode and serve it with oven fries or wedges.
  • Dip party  Ranch, ketchup, garlic mayo, or even more burger sauce dip it all!
  • Lettuce on the side  If you want something fresh, a little green salad works great.
