Hey there, food lovers! If you’ve been looking for a fun, easy, and quick way to enjoy lasagne without all the layers and baking time, these Airfryer Lasagne Wraps are exactly what you need! I’ve been seeing these pop up everywhere, and I had to give them a go. Let me tell you – they do not disappoint! These wraps are so tasty, packed with all the flavors of traditional lasagne, but in a crispy, easy-to-make wrap. They’re perfect for a quick lunch, dinner, or even a tasty snack. Plus, they’re great for using up leftover bolognese, so you get two delicious meals in one!

Method

Prepare the Bolognese

Start by heating olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, add the diced onion, carrot, and celery. Sauté the vegetables until they begin to soften, which should take about 5-7 minutes. Once softened, add the crushed garlic cloves to the pan and cook for another minute until fragrant. Next, add the beef mince, breaking it apart as it cooks, and cook until the meat is fully browned. Once the meat is browned, stir in the tomato purée, mixed herbs, and season the mixture with salt and pepper to taste. Then, add the Worcester sauce and a dash of soy sauce for extra flavor. Pour in the beef stock and tinned tomatoes, making sure to add a bit of water (about a quarter of the empty tomato can) to loosen the sauce. Stir everything together and bring it to a simmer. Let the mixture cook on low heat for at least 20 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together, though the longer you simmer it, the richer the flavor will become.

Assemble the Wrap

Once the bolognese has simmered and you’re ready to assemble, take your tortilla wrap and place it flat on a clean surface. Using a spoon, spread half of the white sauce across the center of the wrap, ensuring even coverage. Next, take one-fifth of the prepared bolognese mixture (reheat it in the microwave for about 2 minutes if necessary) and layer it over the white sauce. Then, sprinkle half of the grated mozzarella and cheddar cheese mix on top of the bolognese. Once the filling is in place, fold in the sides of the tortilla to enclose the mixture, and then carefully roll the wrap, ensuring it’s tightly sealed so the contents stay inside.

Cook in the Airfryer

With the wrap fully rolled, take the remaining white sauce and spread it over the top of the wrapped tortilla. Sprinkle the remaining cheese evenly over the sauce. Now, it’s time to cook the wrap. Preheat your airfryer to 180°C (350°F), and place the wrapped tortilla into the airfryer basket. Cook for about 5 minutes or until the cheese on top has melted and the tortilla is golden and crispy. You may want to check halfway through to ensure it’s not burning, as airfryer times can vary slightly based on the model.

Cool and Serve

Once the wrap has finished cooking, carefully remove it from the airfryer using tongs or a spatula. Let it cool for about 5 minutes to prevent burning your mouth when cutting. Once it has cooled slightly, use a sharp knife to slice the wrap in half. Serve immediately and enjoy the crispy, cheesy, lasagne-inspired wrap that’s full of flavor and comfort!
