Looking for a quick, flavorful dish that’s a crowd-pleaser? This satay beef recipe is the perfect choice! It’s packed with bold flavors like curry powder, honey, and peanut butter that come together for a deliciously satisfying meal. The best part? You can whip it up in no time, making it a fantastic go-to for busy days or when you’re craving something tasty. I love how easy it is to make, and it always impresses anyone who tries it. Let’s dive into this simple yet mouthwatering recipe!

Method

Sautéing the Veggies

Start by spraying a frying pan with Frylight and heating it over medium heat. Once the pan is hot, add the chopped onion and red pepper. Sauté them for a few minutes, stirring occasionally, until they soften and release a pleasant fragrance. This step helps to build the flavor foundation for the dish.

Cook the Beef  Next,

Add the minced beef and garlic to the pan. Use your spatula or wooden spoon to break up the beef as it cooks. Stir occasionally, ensuring that the beef cooks evenly and becomes nicely browned. This will take about 5-7 minutes. Make sure the beef is fully cooked through before moving on to the next step.

Add the Flavors

Once the beef is cooked, it’s time to introduce the bold flavors. Sprinkle in the curry powder, then pour in the honey, soy sauce, and chicken stock. Stir everything together until it’s well combined. This mixture will start to create a delicious sauce that will coat the beef. Now, add the peanut butter powder to the pan. If you’re using regular peanut butter instead of the powder, reduce the chicken stock to 200ml and stir in the peanut butter until the sauce is smooth and creamy.

Simmer

Allow the entire mixture to simmer on low heat for about 15 minutes. During this time, stir occasionally to ensure the sauce thickens and all the ingredients blend together. The sauce should become rich and flavorful, with the curry and peanut butter creating a luscious texture.

Serve and Enjoy

Once the sauce has thickened to your liking, it’s time to serve! Spoon the satay beef over a bed of steamed rice and garnish with some fresh coriander for an added touch of color and flavor. Enjoy your dish while it’s hot!

Notes

  • Make sure to keep an eye on the pan while the beef cooks so it doesn’t over-brown. You want it to be nicely browned but not burnt!
